Papa Soul returns to Feedasoul Records with Moody Type Love, a three-track EP that draws inspiration from the Motor City. The opening track, 'Flirt', showcases papa souls' intricate drums and percussion that combine with a deep chord progression and bold vocals that set the tone for the remainder of the EP. The EP title tracks picks up the pace with a driving four-four rhythm and percussive elements for that extra groove. Building on top of it with soulful chords and flaring hi hats, 'Moody Type Love' brings a well-balanced, groove-oriented addition to the release. The EP Concludes with 'Smiles in Her Eyes' which brings the recurring emotional chords on top of a straight beat that complements a perfectly balanced percussive section and deep vocals.
