RITE DE PASSAGE

TINK! MUSIC
TINKMSC015 | 2019-09-21
In the year 1988, between Antwerp and Amsterdam, after dancing to New Beat and House music all night long Rite De Passage drove to the Portland Sound Studios to chill out and lay down some tracks. It all happened at the spur of the moment, spontaneous bursts of inspired energy, these recordings were forgotten and lost between hundreds of other tapes in the TINK! vaults. It surfaced a while ago when Jose Salvador went through the boxes in the archive and played back a few tapes to check what was in there as the label’s info had faded, almost unreadable. So long as passed by for Rite De Passage that Joop Vriend is nowadays Jovanna Marina and Bob Pieck is gone untraceable. This is the sound of a future past.
