For Sooo WET's 8th release, we welcome Nick Garcia! Nick has been quietly making a name for himself over the past few years as one of Washington DC’s most exciting producer/DJ's, traversing many different sounds and styles both in the studio and the club. His forthcoming effort, the Realize EP, dials back the heavy sound design displayed on his previous releases and opts for a more stripped-down approach to house music. Nick goes back to basics here, flipping classic samples over simple, punchy bass lines and retro drums. “Realize” and “Livin’ Wild” are straight up club jams that turn heads with their huge low end and sing-along vocal samples. Nick breaks out the guitar on “Let Me Down,” a somber ode to failed love that hits you right in the feels. The EP covers lots of sonic and emotional territory, creating a diverse set of tracks that will feel right at home in the crate of any committed house DJ.
