John Nolan aka Samjay has been part of the Irish dance music scene for 2 decades. Hailing from Meath on the east coast, Samjay has been af fixture in Dubllin's underground performing regular in the city clubs from Tempe of Sound, Columbia Mills and Music Centre in the 1990s built upon his local residency at Club 41, Navan co Meath.

Samjay has also performed at the top fesitvials llike Electric Picnic, Life, Body & Soul performing alongisde the likes of Monika Kruse, Paul Woolford, Tom Demac and forging his own partnerships with Jay Riordan, Shane Kehoe (MySoul) and the Phunk Dup and Phever crew.

Rocking crowds in fields or clubs led Samjay into production and releases on Tone Kontrol, Re:VIbe, Bloxbox and Echo Delux plus remixes for Nice & Nasty has led Samjay to Dublin XPress and Stairway to Beauty is his second release with DXR, following up to the 2013 Woogie Woo.

Stairway to Beauty comes with a host of DXR/Nice & Nasty badboys on remix duty including Elpierro, Ricky Sinz, Jake 303, Andrew Duke and Samuel James adding a real international feel to the vibe.

Stairway to Beauty is a deep, funky little groove that feeds of the Chicago house sound, the Detroit techno sound and the British Acid house sound and to be fair represents the club sound, the underground vibes of Ireland and will find its way into various DJs boxes from across genres.
