Mark Broom, Marco Bruno, Cadans and Avision all feature on the latest V/A from Ben Sims’ Hardgroove imprint, ‘Tribology Takeover’.

As the title suggests, the latest Hardgroove EP is comprised of cuts taken from Sims’ ‘Tribology’ mix comp released last year on his and Kirk Degiorgio’s Machine imprint and, in true Hardgroove form, delivers four gritty outings for dark rooms.

Although a relative newcomer, Italy’s Marco Bruno has released on Planet Rhythm, Dynamic Reflection and Sims’ own Symbolism Ltd in recent years and his ‘Any Given Sunday’ continues his growing pedigree with tense, funk-laced style.

Cadans follows up his recent output for Clone Basement Series with ‘Bite’, a swinging, crunchy beast of a cut that perverts stab driven techno perfectly while one of the most consistent producers in the scene, Mark Broom, delivers rattling percussive dancefloor lubricant aplenty in ‘Loop It’.

Avision, having debuted on Hardgroove last year, closes out ‘Tribology Takeover’ with ‘Rebel’, a metallic synth-driven affair that tunnels down into late night hypnotics throughout.
