With almost 30 years in Dance Music, you will most definitely have come across Danny Mekanik under one of his guises. Starting in the mid-1980s working alongside brother Kelvin Andrews with This Ain't Chicago, onto Candy Flip, Sure is Pure, Sound 5, and most recently Soul Mekanik. Any long-standing House music lover will have danced to, listened to or played one of Danny's creations. Whether it be a Sure Is Pure remix of Sister Sledge's “Lost in Music”, South Street Player's “Who Keeps Changing Your Mind” or The Doobie Brothers “Long Train Running” Danny's presence in House music is undeniably one of legendary status.

Danny's been off the radar for a while but here at Ocata HQ, we are very excited to announce that he's back and boy do we have some tunes in store for you! First up is “Same as it Never Was”. Before House Music was fragmented into a million genres House was just House, a feeling, and Danny's sound embodies that feeling. Still working with the Roland 808 and 909 and the original synths he began using back in the 80's he creates House of the purest nature and we are very excited to share it with you!
