It's Gonna Be Alright (Help Is On The Way)

Deep Zone, Ceybil Jefferies

Sub-Urban
SU19D2 | 1995-03-01
New-York-based Sub-Urban Records, founded by the mighty Tommy Musto and Silvio Tancredi in 1992, was one of the most consistent American garage and vocal house labels of its time. Musto was the driving force behind the label for his exceptional production and remixing work. The label’s first releases by Musto along with Victor Simonelli and Matthias Heilbronn were to set the tone for its outstanding quality with its distinctive solid beat, tight keyboards and soulful, often gospel-tinged vocals. Over the years, Sub-Urban Records has showcased much-loved releases from the likes of Jazz-N-Groove, Deep Zone, Kerri Chandler, Mousse T, Sandy Rivera and many more.

Matthias Heilbronn teams up with Mike Delgado to form Deep Zone for their ‘It’s Gonna Be Alright (Help Is On The Way)’ production - one of the key releases from Sub-Urban. Written and sung by Ceybil Jefferies, well-known for her club hits on Atlantic Records, the Brooklyn-born singer was the go-to session vocalist in New York at the time, recording many demos passed on to other artists. This time Ceybil keeps the mic and the limelight! ‘The Mike & Matty Show’ mix features lively piano riffs beneath a funky melody and the ‘J.P.’s Vibe Mix’ sees the tracks stripped back, putting emphasis on the uplifting tune. This release comes accompanied with a ‘1080 Dub’, ‘1080 Beats’ and ‘Accapella’ mixes. Don’t miss this 90’s club classic that continues to bring joy and inspiration.
