Making his welcome return to the label with the ‘Mamba’ EP this month is Spanish DJ and producer, Danny Serrano. Effortlessly balancing a will to experiment with an unwavering commitment to the founding spirit of House, Danny Serrano is one of Dance music’s most exciting up-and-coming producers. Mixing up styles and moods but always focused firmly on the dancefloor, Danny’s sets have energy and precision which has seen his tracks garner support from the likes of Loco Dice, Steve Lawler, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola and Saved Records head honcho, Nic Fanciulli. Lead track ‘Mamba’ boasts stab sequences which wrap around weighty drum patterns and chopped, looped vocal hits, creating a high-energy House number perfect for the dancefloor. B-side, ‘Farina’, offers crisply mixed percussion and a pulsating low-end which underpin a series of hypnotic synth hooks that grow with subtle melodic hints and uplifting piano melodies.
