Sammy W & Alex E joins up with Sagmen to deliver 'The Funk' EP featuring remixes from Andre Salmon, Seff, and Skapes.
With previous releases on Hot Creations, Repopulate Mars, and Tobus, 'The Funk' EP sees them join Aert Prog and Andre Salmon's Sagmen.
'The Funk' opens with high vibrations, energetic drums, and a superb groovy bass, punctuated by old school sampled vocals. Andre Salmon comes up with a badass version bringing his typical style and contagious swing.
Second original 'Detox' goes on the same energy, full of percussive drums, and insane acid modulations. Seff offers here a bouncing rework with heavy kick, shaky rhythm and hypnotic pads, opening the way to Skapes to conclude with a moody version, made of scrambling effects and raw samples, before the release close with a solid 'No Acid Mix' version.
