As soon as we heard manolo.’s “Let Me Tell You,” we popped the question right away: “Is this signed anywhere?” Fortunately the answer was “It’s all yours,” and RHONDA came to us shortly after, along with a slew of other originals, that we’ve had to practice self-discipline in order to not release all of them at once… Until then, we’re honored to present to the world the debut of manolo..

“I’m excited to release my debut EP with the Understated team. They understand the music and have created a community that is eager to dance - a DJ’s dream. I’m grateful to have met them and wouldn’t want my debut to be with anyone else.

My debut EP has come together so naturally. It’s comprised of two tracks (Let Me Tell You, and RHONDA). There's a cool story around RHONDA and what inspired me to make it. To start, I named it after one of my favorite parties in LA.  A party where I keep my love for house music alive and dance all night. No phone in hand, no networking - JUST DANCE. One night in April 2018, I had the chance to see Karizma play at Rhonda. At the peak hour, when the dance floor was in sync, I felt the sudden urge to create something. I immediately left the club, went home, and produced what ended up being RHONDA. The track came together in one sitting, almost in an effortless fashion. They say some of your best work comes along relatively quickly, and this was the case for me with RHONDA. I'm genuinely excited to share this body of work and my love for house music with the world moving forward.” - manolo.
