Two contrasting cuts make up this EP from Vincent Inc and regular collaborator Lola Allen. 'Cafe Tropical' itself is pure space lounge-y bliss, complete with laidback geetar from the west coast jazz-funk school of thought, easy listening-style chorus'd (and mostly non-verbal) fem vox, a gloriously cheesy 80s sax line and the occasional Joey Negro-esque stab. 'Tribal Jazz' takes us down a completely different path - as the name kinda suggests, though aside from some fine muted trumpet work this brooding, percussive number is definitely more 'tribal' than 'jazz', conjuring pith-helmeted excursions into the deepest and darkest of jungles.
