Prolific house music aficionado Rick Wade returns to Piston Recordings with his Find A Way EP. His last effort here, I Know Ur There EP, was very well received and was subsequently given a reworking by label boss Rogerio Martins. Detroit based Rick is highly revered in the industry for his dedication to the true purposes of house. Also known as Big Daddy Rick and Dr. Low-Tech, he has literally released hundreds of tracks throughout his career on almost 50 different labels since the mid 1990's. He is also owner of Harmonie Park Records which specialises in deep house and has been running this label since 1993. Born just outside Chicago's South Side he started spinning in the mid 80's in the same club where Jeff Mills was cutting his teeth. From there he went on to run his own show on WCBN and gained a name for himself on the circuit to this day.

Rick?s house music roots shine through on Find A Way which intros with a delicate pad and smooth vocal combo before solid 4x4 house beats take over. The beats are soon joined by a deep and groovy bassline as the vocal cuts through the lower frequencies. Chord pads move effortlessly in the track adding weight to the groove and forcing you to move. Beautifully simplistic with a huge impact, just the tonic needed to keep the party rocking.

Badoo Deeum is a superbly crafted house joint made up with some super smooth sounds that sit under an expertly crafted drum sequence that provides maximum rhythmic function. A series of chord pads and loungy keys give the track a distinct laid-back deep house groove while a cool vocal runs through at various points adding character. A top-notch slice that will not disappoint.
