Continuing his assault on the Proton Music catalogues, Rick Pier O'Neil's "One Side of the Underground" created an impressive combination of original and remix material. Part of September 2018's "Vol. 2,""Another Side" now receives a pair of new remixes on Yin and Yang.
From the clubs of his adopted home country and a residency at "Pacha Ibiza Dubai," Indian born Ejaz Ahamed has been at the forefront of the Middle East's underground dance scene. Performing across the region, support slots for Digweed, Cattaneo and Bodzin have catapulted Ahamed onto a global stage. A production career that began in March 2017 with a remix of Maurice Caron for PHW Elements has since seen him feature on the likes of BC2, Particles and Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital.
Two previous appearances on Yin remixing Erdi Irmak and Andrea Cassino are now followed by a third as the instantly familiar vocal cuts and bass prowess of "Another Side" are treated to an intricate rhythmic framework and grooved bassline. The sumptuous melodic arrangement of the original sits further back in the Ejaz Ahamed mix, but a deliciously stripped back breakdown gives them room to breathe before the driving rhythm and bass hit their stride in the third movement.
