Originally part of the "Interfered Volume 1" compilation on Forescape Digital, "Malakhit" saw Enlusion as part of a star-studded cast list. Shining new light on the track, Yin and Yang now revisit with remixes out of Germany and the U.K.
A decade in the underground dance industry under his own name but a 2018 newcomer with his Rikken production moniker, Rick Siron has quickly found himself commanding attention with a distinctive blend of progressive and melodic house and techno. Making his Rikken debut in September with "In My Head," part of the "Incepto Deep Hybrid" compilation, "Stardust" for Superordinate Music in November was also a notable highlight. 2019 has continued in a similar rich vein with the "Fantasy Caves/Out There" debut EP for his own languages music, as Rikken now debuts on Yin.
Remixing "Malakhit," a heavy beat counts out a four-to-the-floor rhythm while a pounding bassline adds its own unique cadence. Cleverly echoing the melodic themes resonant in the original, Enlusion's elements are intelligently utilized while creating a new darker narrative broken by a lighter feel at the mid-point breakdown. The result is a uniquely impressive work.
