Kevin McKay started seriously buying dance music in 1989 and one of the first DJ who really inspired him was Andrew Weatherall. He began following his productions and really loved what he did with Primal Scream. One of his favourite tracks to play back then was the Terry Farley mix of "Come Together"; the combination of feel-good pianos and gospel vocals always worked a treat. Recently he had been thinking about sampling it and one evening when Alaia & Gallo and him were discussing a collaboration he mentioned it to them. They had never heard the record but loved the idea. Here is what they did. It has that loved-up E-house feel from the 90s complete with a monster beat to kick it off in the club. If you like the Mambo Bros "Discoteq" on DFTD this could be for you.
