The Spanish house and techno scene has arguably never been stronger than it is now. From Andres Campo to John Talabot and Javier Carballo, a raft of internationally-acclaimed artists have emerged from the country over the past few years. On a label front, it's hard to ignore the work of LNDKHN. Founded 2 years ago now, the label has sprung out of nowhere to become one of Beatport's most popular such labels. Helmed by Ignacio Benitez AKA Landikhan, their modus operandi revolves around top class electronica, the likes of which appeals to a wide range of DJs.


To celebrate 2 years of music, the label has put together an impressive V/A, consisting of work from an array of artists affiliated with the label for some time. Up first is Uji's remix of Landikhan & Nina Indigo's 'Santa Medicina', a killer opener which showcases the label's liking for deeper pastures. The Balearic stylings of Baiuca's remix of Kermesse's 'Dub Kantine' is another welcome addition. Baiuca is an electronic artist who combines electronica and traditional music from Galicia: where electronica meets Galician music! Unsurprisingly, this track immediately transports the listener to the heart of the Balearics.


Elsewhere, Kyrill & Redford's Late Night mix of Holed Coin's 'Famous Stranger' is a stirring, dramatic, hypnotic cut with off-kilter samples that's definitely made with true tech-house heads in mind, before Alvaro Suarez turns in a cracking remix of Landikhan & Caravaca's 'Traversata'. A synth-heavy interpretation that's full of classy Latin vibes, it's a smart remix that's in keeping with the label's Spanish heritage, and is a track that closes this record with a familiar poise.
