For release number 197 on Ready Mix Record, French producer Gulivert delivers two deeply meditative cuts, complete with remixes by The Soul Brothers and Sorae & Massam.

Known for his uptempo house releases on Catwash Records and Roush, Gulivert unveils his more spiritual side here, embracing psychedelic, Eastern sounds.

Opening track 'Atlantis' is heavily influenced by Indian 'ragas' improvisations, with droning sitars providing a bed for eastern arpeggios, mysterious melodies and a slow, hypnotic rhythm section.

Hailing from Puebla, Mexico, production duo The Soul Brothers turn in a delightfully subtle, percussive deep house reworking of 'Atlantis', letting fragments of melody weave their way in and out of a tight, solid groove.

The French pairing of Sorae & Massam take 'Atlantis' into more dramatic territory, with sweeping, ambitious atmospherics gradually leading the way toward tense arpeggios and heavier drums.

Finally, Gulivert's second original track 'Yatra Discovery' has a loose, improvised feel, with mbira, strings and eastern flutes jamming together over afro-latin inspired percussion and piano chords.
