Deep House guru Juanma Llopis returns to Piston Recordings with the excellent HMSC EP, which follows hot on the heels of his last effort here with Ssh EP. Hailing from Spain, Juanma continues a fine run of form for us having provided some top-notch quality cuts over the years. A lover of music he is heavily influenced by House, Tech House and Chillout among other genres and he is able to turn his hand to many styles, but Deep House is where he mostly resides. He started out in 1999 and DJing took him all over Spain, but it wasn't until 2013 when he began to produce his own sounds and, to date he has released on several top labels with great support on labels like, Joyfull Family Records, Sound Mass Records and Vandalism Musique. Nice to see him once again.

HMSC intros with a warm, inviting sound made up of nice chunky beats and sweet melodic flutter. The track enters a short break to introduce a thick analogue style bass along with cool spoken vocal. The bass gives the track a nice bouncing vibe as detuned chord stabs layer up creating that classic deep house sound. Beautifully crafted and expertly executed, this one is a definite must have.

Corner's Affair sets out with fully primed, punchy kick drum and shuffling hi hats combi that gets the toes tapping. On the low end we find an analogue bass with an infectious groove that digs deep into your soul. The track is laced with ultra-cool spoken vocals which deliver an intriguing narrative. High strings and organic chords add a rich dynamic to the sound making this a track not to be missed.
