'I always try to innovate and - as much as I can - create music with a lot of essence, colour, love, and soul,' says Spain's Nausikke. And he has certainly done just that on the techno double-single Folklore / Rain Down, his debut release on Play Records.

A mix of melodic and underground techno, Folklore and Rain Down include some unusual creative elements, such as castanets and environmental ambiance, that balance their dark synth arpeggios with a fresh, cascading lightness.

Inspired by the likes of Giorgia Angiuli and David August, Nausikke has created perfect music for a late night lounge, a chill afternoon DJ set, or the soundtrack of a Denis Villeneuve film.
