Odishon (Michael A Remix)

Sapiens

Yin
YIN102 | 2019-02-04
Originally part of the whimsically titled "Reservoir Gods" EP in March 2018, Sapiens hit another progressive house landmark with "Odishon." As Yin and Yang now revisit the track first released on Baroque Digital, remixes come courtesy of Belarus and Polish icons.

Michael A needs no introduction to the underground dance music fraternity. A musical tour de force since a March 2012 debut for Stereofaza, over 750 production credits can now be found against the Belarusian's name for some of the finest imprints. A regular for the likes of Superordinate, Balkan Connection and his own Genesis Music, further highlights can be found in the "Micrologica" and "Brabant" EPs for Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat and a host of original releases for the renowned Particles and Proton Music imprints.

Supported by such leading lights as Nick Warren, Guy J and Cattaneo himself, Michael A makes a welcome return to Yin remixing Sapiens. Taking "Odishon" on a groove-laden voyage, a deep rolling groove with ticking percussive highlights and subterranean bass provides a firm foundation for a shimmering arpeggio to filter into sonic range. With its roots firmly in the original, Michael's additional production takes the track in a new direction with the arpeggio sequence taking centre stage. The result is certain to fill dancefloors across the globe with its driving beat, hypnotic rhythms and melodic interplay.
