Toulouse based label Canal Auditif keeps things close to home this time, as they welcome one of the cities main talents, Karmaâ, on board for a fantastic new release.

We’re sure the name Karmaâ rings a bell for many of you melodic house lovers, as his work previously appeared on powerhouses such as 3000 Grad, Parquet Recordings and Inlab Recordings to name a few. This time he teams up with up-and-comer Dirty Groove for their new single ‘Forest’ which comes in the original version and remixes by THe WHite SHadow and Max Tenrom.

The title track starts out subtly with some ethnic vocal sample action and an easy going guitar riff, but slowly but surely moves into more rugged terrain with it’s raw filtered synth melodies and overall dark arrangement.

THe WHite SHadow turns the tempo up a notch and adds a proper dosage of tribal percussive shakers to the mix, as well as cleverly adding his own magical touch, cleverly built on top of the melody of the original.

Exploring the deeper side of the melodic spectrum, Max Tenrom delivers an amazing job here. He delivers a subtle and very musical tension builder, simply lovely!

Dirty Groove also flies solo on this release, presenting ‘Evening Spirit’, a slow moving deep house track which is characterized by it’s clear ethnical Middle East influences.
