2018 have been a milestone year for us. We've been going from strength to strength with each release, and we're ending 2018 on a high note with a rich and dynamic EP full of depth from partners in crime Kiano & Below Bangkok. Along for the ride we have label new comer HIIKE, Minneapolis very own Jake Encinas and head honcho Jason Bay to compete in the remix round.

Kiano & Below Bangkok open the EP with After Time, a mid tempo deep house affair that chugs and twists its way through out. A tight bassline plays off the kick to create a contrasting drag and pulling sensation with while chunky percussion accentuates the groove in between the beats. Great opening track that still provides a thick groove to keep the dance floor heaving in anticipation of the evenings coming shenanigans.

Tulip Highway is an exercise in self restraint and developing tension. A haunting pad creates the foundation for the track to build on with mesmerizing vocals and a punchy bassline marching along. A bell tone sequence synth line provides the lead while still staying in the background that creates a sonic haze to get lost in. More than half way through muted chords make their presence known, harkening back to vintage Chicago House records.

Kiano & Below Bangkok take an unexpected turn with Charger. Tight and punchy drums open the track while the stripped down essentials allow the vocals to swirl and dance around the bassline. A rhodes thats been sent through a guitar amp starts growling and growing underneath while a pleura synth line punctuates the beat. The track continues it's grind with subtle hints of the vocals fluttering in and out to the end.

We at Plus Plus couldn't be more excited to introduce HIIKE and are excited to have him on board to remix After time. HIIKE takes the original and turns it into a sublime deep house jaunt with nods to early El_Txef_A and the likes. Bold piano chords set the foundation for the track with everything building around the melancholic sensation it brings. HIIKE's studio prowess is on full display with an understanding how a number of subtle changes can build together create a synergy that few can replicate.

Minneapolis very own Jake Encinas takes Tulip Highway and turns it into a heavy and heaving tech house monster. With a menacing bassline and a dark warehouse beat, Jake builds an environment brimming with sexual tension. With gated vocals adding a touch of texture and rhythm that builds with the track, Jakes remix is going to warm up any dance floor out there. And as an added bonus he included an Instrumental mix and a Rhythmpella for the more adventurous DJ's out there.

Label head Jason Bay finishes up the EP with his signature style of deep, hypnotic grooves with his remix of Charger. Jason takes a more organic approach with the drum groove with tight hand percussions over top while a deep, subby bassline runs underneath. The originals vocals are dubbed out to create a cacophony of sonic textures. The filtered keys modulate to play off of the vocals to create a rolling groove that is just as infectious as it is hypnotic.
