Its been exactly a year since we last heard music from Sable Sheep and two since his debut appearence on Inmotion, with the remix of ONNOs Bang Bang EP. Today the German comes out of his musical hibernation with a blistering brace of new groove-heavy rollers. The title track leads the package with another of the trademark powerful tribal drum patterns that have laced Sable Sheeps previous hits for Be As One and Desolat. Rewinding The Ashes is backed by two equally commanding remixes. LFOs Gez Varley, under his G-Man moniker, is behind the first of our reworks. Taking the original on a brutally rampant ride before handing the controls to Canadian duo The Junkies, who turn in a more stripped down Acid Fix take. Sable Sheeps second original Lone Pines closes the ep, matching throbbing synth pulses with a raw jackin house groove to create a funky and yet ominous finalé to an excellent EP.
