French brothers David and Nicolas Gaugain returns to CZ alongside Adam Carling for the superb Place which features two solid remixes. It was in 2010 when David and Nicholas decided to start making music together and after several experiments they decided that electronic music was where their hearts lay. Their sound has been getting massive support from a plethora of top DJ's and artists with the likes of Laurent Garnier and Renaat Vandepapeliere showing interest in this latest offering. Their last outing here was on remix duties for Adam Carling and Nick De Voosts' Kepler. Adam is also no stranger to CZ with the aforementioned release as well as a quality remix on Waffensupermarkt's Iron Curtain. Adam is also heavily involved in several collaborations concerning CZ artists and has solidified a respected name for himself on the Techno circuit.

Dark pounding kick drums greet un on the intro to the Original Mix, against a backdrop of swirling pads that mesmerize. Warm chords fade in as a gritty, organic synthline rolls through. A deep, penetrating bassline delivers a groovy edge to the sound while classic style analogue synths break through. Beautifully arranged sounds create intriguing textures that hypnotize and draw you in making this one an absolute must have.

Label boss Van Czar puts the books away to take the lead on remix duties with his fantastic Club Remix which followed his last remix on Thomas Naenen's Limerence. A hugely talented artist in many ways, Van continues to run his labels, seek out new talent, crack open serious beats in the studio and play out in bars and clubs. Full of desire and dedication, he has made his presence felt for many years now and it's always a pleasure when he drops a remix on us. Here, Van puts his trademark techno stamp on the original as pounding kicks and crisp hi hats line up against a deep rolling bassline that dominates the groove. Cool voices lurk in the distance as those analogue synths play out warm chords. A real solid driver that will not disappoint.

Spanish DJ and producer Ruben Losada returns to CZ with a solid remix which follows his debut Call To Scramble. Ruben became attracted to dance music at an early age, around 13 or 14 years old. When he was 18 he played one of his first gigs in two very well-known clubs in Bilbao called Congresso and Circuito. Soon he was being invited to play in several clubs such as Pacha and La Seda, and some radio shows on local radio stations. In 2006 he started his first amateur musical productions and since then he has enjoyed releases on several labels including a few choice cuts on the Bonzai imprint, Progrez. Here on the remix Ruben wastes no time and gets right down to a gnarly techno beast of a tune. Thumping kicks are met with a tight percussion arrangement as a deep, plucky bassline rocks the low end. The track has a distinct organic flavour that gives it a unique edge that will keep the floors moving. Top notch, not to be missed.
