After wowing us with top-selling releases on labels such as Alpaca Edits, Midnight Riot, Spa In Disco and Hot Digits, plus some epic remix action on the recent Cuz Electric EP 'Santa Cuz', we've been desperate to nail Andy Buchan down to a full release on Particle Zoo.
A few bribes and some sweet-talking later Andy has delivered two ridiculous slices of golden Nu-Disco party soul. Glistening with glorious perspiration like a bronzed Hercules at a post-battle knees-up, Big Poppa rocks up, lays some lino and throws some shapes in the name of all things funky. Meanwhile on the metaphorical B-side, New Life breathes, erm, new life into a classic Mylo bass-line, reimagines it as a cut-the-rug anthem and shows us all why Andy Buchan is on the cusp of stardom.
As if that wasn't enough, contemplate no fewer than four remixes from some of the fastest-rising stars of Nu-Disco.
Each remix offers something unique and comes drenched in quality and party-friendly resplendence.
Kellini kills it with his kaleidoscopic reinvention of Big Poppa - somehow adding even more funk to proceedings while showing off every last drop of his devastating production skills.
Label-boss Don Dayglow gives the same track an Acid House remake using a plethora of hardware synths, while New Life is duly interpreted by Italian legend Belabouche and critics' choice Cuz Electric.
Belabouche provides a deliciously twisted, deep-as-a-canyon Acid-Disco bubbler, while Cuz Electric adds his signature glitched-up Disco wooziness to proceedings to provide one of a remarkable EP's most scintillating highlights.
