Pavement (Kamilo Sanclemente & Dabeat Rework)

Silinder

Yin
YIN097 | 2018-10-29
Originally part of the thematic "Corrupt" EP in September 2012, Silinder created a twin-track offering that highlighted the chasm between rich and poor that was a product of the 2007-2008 global financial crisis. The shockwaves ran through the Irishman's home country with tragic consequence and ongoing ramifications. As Yin and Yang now return to the ground-breaking track, remixes come courtesy of Colombian and German talents.

Making his debut for BC2 in December 2016, Kamilo Sanclemente's star has risen rapidly in the underground dance firmament. A force to be reckoned with, a triple century of production credits has seen the Cali resident feature heavily for the likes of Parquet, Einmusika and Perspectives Digital. Indeed, it was with the "El Sol/La Luna" EP, alongside Golan Zocher and including a remix from Dutch icon Roger Martinez, that Sanclemente hit new heights.

First teaming up with fellow countryman Dabeat in August 2016, the duo has found themselves working well together for the likes of FSOE UV, Clubsonica and Particles. Joining forces once more, the Kamilo Sanclemente and Dabeat remix of "Pavement" introduces a wonderful new melodic focus to Silinder's work as pitch bent chord stabs provide a rhythmic foundation for a series of rich arpeggios and chord progressions to swim enticingly across the eight-minute plus offering. A deep, buzzing bassline adds further intrigue in a unique and innovative remix that still has its roots firmly in Silinder's original.
