Little known fact...Cabbie Hat Recordings boss man 4Peace was one of the highest recruited basketball players out of the state of Texas back in the late 80's. As a child, he, his brother & father used to regularly attend Harlem Globetrotters exhibition games when they came to town. He always had an affinity for their theme song and could be heard whistling it on many an occasion. Once he became a House Music producer much later in life, he knew at some point he was destined to put his own spin on this catchy jazz classic. Well, the time has come and boy did he put his own spin on it! Deep, jazzy, swingin', jackin, cheeky, ghetto, bass-bin smashin' spin! He knows this track most likely won't be appreciated by the traditional privileged & fickle House crowd, but then again, he didn't make it for them. This one is for the underground jazz lovers who should appreciate the time & attention that went into this.
