With booming kicks, grinding synths, and monstrous bass lines Nelson (DE) puts together one mammoth of an EP with five skull-crushing tracks that will bring the warehouse down. Starting with the absolutely rude 'Count On You', Nelson captures the various shades of house all while imprinting his heavy dancefloor friendly sound. 'East Coast Feeling' takes the foot off the gas pedal, but not by much as the pulsing kick and bass run through you as lush deep house chords echo out into emptiness as the beat rolls on. 'Tell Them' spirals down are darker twisted path as intense synth chords build tension while the bottom end grooves on as gritty breakbeats collides with house. Nelson shows a deeper, sexier side with 'It's Getting Late', a soulful display of proper bumpy house music peppered with echoing saxophone edits. Last but not least 'Eternal Things' combines the rougher, darker side of Nelson with a more delicate and jazz-inspired instrumentation, perfectly displaying a neat contrast that works together in perfect syncopation.
