Spanish DJ and producer Bassel Darwish is a man on a mission to deliver the hottest tech beats to the world's dancefloors! The Barcelona artist has been dropping heat on some of the scene's most outstanding labels like Solid Grooves, Stereo Productions, Material and Moan. He is a regular fixture in the Beatport top 10 charts and his musical skills have earned him some heavyweight support including Marco Carola, wAFF, Dennis Cruz and our very own Stefano Noferini to name but a few.
The opening cut 'Colours' is a rolling tech house jam with a chunky drum line and a bouncing bass. The track uses crunchy drums delivered with a loopy minimal aesthetic to bring the beat to life. Slick FX and rising synths fire off as a catchy vocal sample rings out across the track.
Again on 'Control' Bassel Darwish demonstrates his signature production sound, which walks the line between tech house and minimal. A punchy, syncopated bass rhythm gives the track an effortless groove and funky vibe while remaining restrained and succinctly underground in it's delivery.
Wrapping up the package is 'System', which leans more in the tech house direction. A heavy swinging drumline is backed up by a pounding bass groove and energetic horn stabs. Subtle melodic elements and sparse effects carry the groove as a spoken word vocal perks the ears during the breakdown, before the peak time groove comes crashing back in.
