We welcome back the talented Ivo C to Piston with his fantastic Connected EP. This one follows his last effort ' Future EP ' and we've no doubt there will be a lot of interest. Ivo has notched up quite an impressive back catalogue in the last 5 years and his music has found its way onto several top labels and, this latest effort marks his fourth here at Piston, we're always excited when his latest works drops into the mailbox. Much more to come from this guy so stay tuned.

Connected intros with a bass heavy sound, solid kick drums and probing bass tones create a wall of sound which is sliced open by cool hi hats and sharp claps. This driving groove locks you in as intricate note patterns fade in, adding colour and texture to the sound. The mid-section carries a simple yet effective synth riff which is a cross between 303 action and filtered arpeggios. A real power house of a groove that will not disappoint.

Constant opens with a very nice, subdued kick drum which is joined by crispy hi hats and a background pad. A deep, thick and lush bassline comes through to take control, the perfect reason to get on the floor. As the track settles into its infectious groove, we ponder the simplicity and the sheer joy created from the arrangement. On the break we are treated to soft musical tones that add character and keep the groove interesting. Top-notch stuff that is not to be missed.
