Ognjen Vukovic aka AudioStorm returns to Bonzai Progressive with The Purpose which comes hot on the heels of his last effort here on remix duties for Russlan Jaafreh ' Pomegranate. Having been fascinated by music from an early age, Ognjen's interest in electronic music grew, he began to write his own tracks which are now being supported by many of his childhood heroes and contemporaries. He has enjoyed being held in high esteem by his peers and fans and over the years he has seen releases on multiple labels including Particles, the legendary Bonzai Progressive, System and Baroque through to Balkan Connection, Mystique Music and Polytechnic. Always a pleasure when his newest project arrives.

On the Original Mix we are treated a beautifully warm and wonderfully rich slice of progressive house. The kick drums alone are enough to draw you in, and then you have shuffling hi hats dishing out a smooth rhythm alongside a deep and probing bassline. Super sweet pianos line up against contrasting synth stabs for a dynamic showdown. An excellent piece that will not disappoint.

Thorin is back at the helm on the remix and proves once again the sheer talent this guy has. A stalwart for us over the years, he has churned out several memorable original works and remixes. Thorin got involved with electronic music at a young age and grew up with progressive rock and music from bands like Deep purple, Gong and Yes. Thorin has performed at many parties across Europe, notably at Twidl events among others. Much more to come from this guy, well worth keeping an eye on. On the remix here Thorin puts us right into the heart of the groove from the first few bars. Nice chunky kick drums and rhythmic percussion lead the way alongside a thick, warm bassline. Cool FX and sweeping synths fade in and out as a subtle melody weaves through the sound. An expertly crafted cut that will sit perfectly in any proggy set.

Norwegian artist Wolfson returns to BP with an impressive remix which comes after his debut ' Too Loose, gained great support. Wolfson grew up in music and literally on records, his Father was a record producer in Norway. He fell in love with lots of genres and got his first set of turntables and a mixer when he was 13 and became a turntablist, fusing hip-hop and breakbeats. He soon found himself DJing at all the local parties, building his reputation. In his college years, he started collaborating with live bands and electronic music groups and that's when he found an interest in producing house music. Great to have him back for more. Here Wolfson offers up a fantastic progressive house groove filled to the brim with rich sounds and groovy patterns. The bassline stands out most as it probes its way through the track before dissipating at the break to leave a blend of sweet and melancholic melodies in control. A real deep and dark moody groove that is not to be missed.
