Seamless is back after a short break with its latest release, On Cloud 9 by Laylo. This collection of tracks takes you on a journey that you can tell has been inspired by the artist's globetrotting experiences in some of the world's most spiritual places. Adding to that you can hear the influences of some of the world's greatest in this genre, the likes of Nightmares on Wax, Groove Armada, Mylo, Daft Punk, Guns n Roses, Orbital, Soul Clap and the legendary Pink Floyd who pioneered electronica.
"On Cloud 9" is the debut album from Laylo, conceived in Ibiza in 2005, but born in Koh Phangan in 2017 in collaboration with some of the islands' finest musicians living there at the time. Featuring a range of alternative chilled vibes from Balearic, chillout, trip hop, hip hop, electronica, ambient, funk, disco, left field, rock, house and a little bit of cinematic to finish.

The album subtly moves up in tempo, but the spiritual backbone always remaining. Infused with slight musical manipulations along with subtle abstract messages; all with the constant aim of making people feel good. The concept is musical elation, a journey everyone should try at least once; 10 tracks all musically individual yet all with a common thread that holds the concept together.
The project began in February 2017 and was completed in April 2018. All tracks made in Koh Phangan, Thailand (apart from Southside, written in Railay Beach) All tracks written and produced by Laylo with the following collaborations:
Vocalists Lokka Vox, Muna, Bernie, Mc Maas, Cagey & Jean Francois. Live sax from Orlando, live percussion from Bata & Rocky, live guitars from Jody & Vasco and Jho on electric violin.

In Laylo's words....
"I started to play the piano at 4 years old and music has been my life ever since. Musically I went from bands like The Beatles, Pink Floyd to Guns n Roses which was then followed by electronic pioneers like Orbital, Daft Punk, Groove Armada and Nightmares on Wax.
For this album, I wanted to create a variety of laid back songs infused with the different genres I love and grew up with. I put my heart and soul into all the tracks as did all the artists.
Collaborating with my musical friends made this project extra special for me. Everyone I had the pleasure of working with exceeded expectations, bringing their own unique styles and I am sincerely grateful to all these very talented people.
I love all the tracks on the album but "A Different Game" is the one I still listen to the most. It took 14 months to complete as I tried a few different guitarists and several vocalists until we eventually nailed it. The track was inspired by Guns n Roses. I wanted to emulate that sound and feeling of the electric guitar in a laid back/rock crossover. It's the
most experimental track I've made and as the vocals explain; it is good to be different!"
