Portuguese DJ and producer Mario Silva aka Eat Dust remains a constant force here at Piston and his 13th release for us is yet another reason why we just love to have him around. While the number 13 may be unlucky for some, it certainly is not the case for us as his new slice titled Sandra EP will testify.

In true Eat Dust fashion we are treated to a rip-roaring tech infused joint in the form of Sandra. Right from the first few bars we're locked in for the duration, the drum section alone keeps the body rocking thanks to its adjusted signature patterns. On the low end a deep throbbing bassline weaves through the groove effortlessly while cool club style vocals litter the sound. The break is a sublime sequence filled with layering synths and a tight snare roll that climaxes back into full-on mode. A definite dancefloor destroyer that is not to be missed.

Modulated Heart intros with a superb thumping kick drum and subtle percussion pattern before the hi hats, claps and cymbals break out alongside a playful analogue bassline to create a smooth rhythmic flow. Extra layers of drums beef up the groove, showcasing the sequencing and pattern building skills to the max. Cool spoken vocals are scattered throughout and add character to the sound. A fine slice of tech house that will not disappoint.
