For our new release we have Corvum onboard, a well known veteran
producer, composer, sound designer and beatmaker. He offers two
slices of complex techno remixed by label owner SARF and the swiss
virtuoso Isolated lines.
First cut is Cosmos, starting with broken beats and distorted textures,
soon evolves to more complex territories, adding acid lines and
evocative textures and pads, a dystopic synthesized symphony.
SARF brings Cosmos to 4/4 cadencies: clear kicks, reverberated drones
and white noise start the pace until the acid sequence appears from
below taking over the arrangement. Add sharp 909 hats and the equation is done.
Neurosis is the second original cut, again complex broken drums, EBM
like synth workout and portamento sequences, interrupted in the middle
by profound and melodic strings.
Isolated Lines rewrites Neurosis, getting some of the original drums,
aligning everything over a solid kick and using the string samples in a
very creative way. The feeling is a mixture of modern techno and the old
industrial days: distortion and harmony all in one.
