Omid 16B’s Alola Records imprint continues to broaden its sound with this superbly languid excursion into melodic, grooving techno, punctuated with acid-inspired riffs, sci-fi computer bleeps, and sizzling pad motifs. With a cheeky nod to his artist name, No Different turns in something exactly at odds with it. The Original Mix bustles with a sense of purpose, but maintaining an air of mysteriousness, while Omid in his 16B guise delivers a more dancefloor-ready edit. Tonally agile and rhythmically deft, No Different is welcomed back to Alola with this 2-track release.
