Ameniia Records registers the seething Seoul, Korean techno scene yet again with a new release from Polarfront. An artist that lives to build it up and break it down, DJ and producer, Polarfront, has been gathering steady momentum as a techno operator since his debut self-titled release in 2015. The imprint Ameniia has been putting out high-caliber techno releases since 2013, creating an ideal launchpad for Polarfront to bring Seoul's thriving yet undiscovered underground scene to the global forefront.

Polarfront dove deep in the creation of his new EP 'Baikal' . The four track EP iterates layers of dark and warm synths and intricate cymbal patters over a driving 4×4 kick. On each of the tracks, especially Baikal and Monsoon, a hyperkinetic vibe somehow still keeps Polarfront's laid back ease that invites the listener to dream with ears wide open. Weaving synth loops into a rolling hi hat, UBX172's remix of the title track is a dance floor burner that manages to keep Polarfront's cerebral nuance in tact. As the Seoul techno scene breaks onto the world stage, Polarfront's 'Baikal' EP is sure to become an essential milestone in the process.
