LIKE LIFE RECORDS

Like Life Records was born in 2010. This project merges an open state of mind and unlimited styles within the electronic landscape. Looking at the founder’s biography gives sense on why the label was created. Gabriel B. aka Leendder, sustained by the Pop of New Order and by the upfront electronic of Front 242, began his career in 1995 as a House DJ. For a long time influenced by the deep electronic movement, he finishes his first production in 1996 on Total House Recordings then appears on one of the first BMG Ibiza compilation beside the like of Armand Van Helden and signs several tracks with United Tracks of House. Following some Deep EPs released on Subscience and The Lords Of Sound, he was immediately remixed by renowned DJs such as Jerome Pacman, Cyril K, Plaisir de France and DJ Vas from the Kojak crew. That' s when his main activity turned to production and many tracks appeared on diverse internationals labels like Dessous, Hooj Choons, Starsky Records, Le Maquis, Floating Point, Hot Dogs Traxx, United Recordings, Toulhouse Records etc... In 2008 he came back on production with Space Breaks Records and a typical hypnotic Chicago track. The following year, he dedicated himself to work on his newest electronic project “Leendder” and released his first EP “Love Process” in 2010 on Moonchild Records. It's after all those experiments along Leendder’s career that Like Life Records was born, a label defined for raw dancefloor and underground clubbing. A project aiming to cross as many different influences that Nu-disco, Modern House music, New-Wave Spirit, Groove-Funk while keeping the Electro Progressive music predominance. Nothing would have been possible without the association with two enthusiasts who by their respective skills create a real synergy within the label: • M. Le Gac (Mateo El Graco) a young Web Business owner captivated by Electronic Music. He took part in different projects such as “Input Selector“(Electronic Webzine) and as a technical partner on Space Breaks Records for the web marketing and IT solutions adapted to labels. • V. Langlais was born in 1979 with “Boys don’t cry” and met the electronic music with Sono and their hit single “Keep Control”. As DJ, he organised many house parties with his friend Gabriel B. between britanny and Oxford (UK). From now, Langlais work as Art Director & Shoe Designer for the cool Schmoove & Spring Court brands. He drives the graphics line of Like Life Records. The label’s philosophy was from the beginning sharp and clear, it will have to be: Open Minded Electronic Music, approachable and dancefloor targeted tracks, diversity of sounds and influences.
