IONIC COLLECTIVE
Ionic is a Chicago-based record label and collective of creators and producers.
Founded in November of 2015 by Alex Kitcheos, a seasoned DJ and engineer, and Carl Murray, a new but ambitious producer, the upcoming collective has focused on pushing genre boundaries, combining the European with the American, and the underground with the commercial. Although the Ionic sound is broad and knows few boundaries, they have steadily crafted a unique hybrid, club-centric sound focusing heavily on bass, breakbeat, house, and at times can be dark and minimal.
In less than a year, Ionic has garnered a loyal following on Soundcloud, and label artists have garnered support from a myriad of American EDM giants such as Ape Drums, Mija, Anna Lunoe, and GTA
