Traktor Records is a german label based in Stuttgart, that started off with Downbeat/Headz/Breaks music in 2004 and with a move to electro quickly gained following in the new rave area around 2008. Traktor Records was even listed as Nr. 3 Label in the annual german club charts in 2009 in front of labels like Ed Banger, Kitsune or XL. From 2010 onwards all dark and hard bangerism was outsourced to sublabel Mähtrasher which quickly got internationally recognition for being on the forefront of uncommercial electro and still successfully keeps releasing floor stompers on a pretty high frequency until today. The mothership Traktor since then shifted its focus on chilled and warm house and indie dance music both for club and home abuse. Label discoveries Ackermann and Music to make babies to being the main priorities at the moment who are doing side-releases on labels like Kling Klong, Get Physical, Leena, Danse Club or Second State without leaving the mothership. Labels 50th anniversary compilation is just around the corner and no stopping in sight. A traktor maybe a bit slow as a vehicle but it sure is hard to stop.
