Artist
MARCO ROLLO
FLUID is the first evidence from Marco Rollo solo, Salento composer, pianist, electronics lover of sampled sounds, the computer programming and Mediterranean melodies.
His musical career is studded with experiences multifarious perfectly in line with his curious spirit and fascinated by the novelty.
The experiences with Balkan sounds of OPA CUPA, ARGENTO with saxophonist Raffaele Casarano and then Vudz, the reinterpretation of the Salento electro melodic musical tradition with TRIACE.
Jazz, forays into dubstep, and progressive, the love for sound suggestions of northern Europe, with electronic sounds to the melody of pianists such as Esbjörn Svensson and Tord Gustavsen, the experiments of Morcuf, the sounds of Erik Truffaz, Cinematic Orchestra and Zero 7, are just some of the inspirational references to which Marco Rollo uses, to propose his way of thinking about music.
Everything condenses and produces in his first album, ten songs net, defined, skinny and with a strong flavor, without unnecessary frills. Marco comes to our ears in his own way, tiptoeing almost timidly, but leaving a mark that remains from the first listen
