BAH SAMBA

1995 saw the first incarnation of Bah Samba with a debut single 'Carnival' (Loaded). Later followed the now classic, 'Reach Inside' (Estereo) which was Alice Russell's Bah Samba debut and the start of a long working relationship with Julian Bendall. Followed by numerous singles on Estereo, in 2001 Bah Samba released their self-titled debut album, followed by the Latin Lounge Session and their mixed album titled 'Eclectica Volume 1' in 2004. 'Bah Samba 4' (BKO) was released in 2005, spawning soulful hits including 'Portuguese Love' and 'Calma' ft. Isabel Fructuoso. In Summer 2009 Bah Samba made their debut on Favouritizm with the seasonal delight 'Live In The Summer' feat. Tasita D'Mour on vocals. The single included remixes from DJ Meme, Andy Ward, The Super-Phonics and Shake The Dog, gaining huge support worldwide, reaching No.1 on the Traxsource chart, featuring on many compilations. The single was later remixed for Summer 2010 by top Italian house duo Souldynamic. Also in 2010 Bah Samba released 'Don't Let Them Get You Down' with remixes from restless soul's Phil Asher, The Super-Phonics and a Bah Samba vs Favouritizm 'Push Mix' receiving huge DJ support from the likes of Grant Nelson, DJ Meme, Danny Krivit and Dimitri From Paris and more. In recent years Bah Samba have been performing with Jazz Legend Roy Ayers at Southport Weekender festivals among many others Worldwide. This resulted in them recording and releasing the feel-good Summer anthem 'Positive Vibe' last year, including mixes from Ashley Beedle, Andy Ward, Sean McCabe, The Super-Phonics and The Soul Renegades, going straight to Traxsource no.1 and staying there for weeks! Bah Samba are enjoying the success of their latest incredibly kitsch floorfiller 'Have You Got Your Bootz On?' This fun outing gets disco/boogie re-works from DJ Meme, JKriv (Tortrured Soul) Steve Luxe and Anthony Nicholson & Cole DeGenova. Supporters of Bah Samba releases include many heavyweight jocks such as Louie Vega, DJ Spen, DJ Yass, Quentin Harris, Danny Rampling, Kenny Dope, Danny Krivit, Tony Humphries and many of the dance music elite.
