Ignatius Mathlubionke Bexashe

Musician/Composer/House Music Producer/Brass Tutor

Bexashe was born in South Africa, Northern Cape Kimberley. He started working in the field band foundation in 2009, Bexashe launched the field band in Postmansburg in 2009, he later moved to Kuruman in 2010. Bexashe is a graduate of the Field Band Academy. Since 2011 he was appointed to be a brass tutor in a youth organization Hands On in 2013

Bexashe's love for arts education landed him a spot with Galeshewe Theatre Organization creative arts project and is now head of music and facilitator. He sometimes work with the award winning team of mandla Dança Teatro ZA. He was part of a jazz band called Sound Register and has performed in various music festivals like Diamonds and Dorings and SA Jazz Festival, and Recently Performed for the president of South Africa at the Presidential Gala Dinner. Bexashe was part of the orchestra in a musical at the national arts festival which got an Ovation Award. Bexashe has performed at the Golden Shield Heritage Awards (Hosted by the National Heritage Council).

He forms part of a team that got a Golden Shield Heritage Award preserving the African Heritage. Bexashe obtained his grades in music with the Royal School of Music which are grade three theory and practical is grade five, this inspired him to reintroduce African music around the Northern Cape schools and also in KZN. One of his favorite highlights in partnership with the Northern Cape Tourism Performing for the family of legendary John Coltrane. June with Amandla Danca Teatro ZA, We performed a musical called Nomaphodo and we got a Bronze medal. 2022 I performed with the legendary group, in December will did a GBV musical at the Northern Cape Theater 2022.
