Born in Gqeberha, (formerly known as Port Elizabeth) Lungelwa Honey Mtabazi aka Lochive The DJ 1st burst onto the male dominated Deep House & Afro-tech music scene in 2017 and quickly became one of the most recognizable faces and names on the circuit. A two-time graduate with a BA: Development studies from Nelson Mandela University, and Post-grad Enterprise Management from Rhodes Business School. Lochive has used knowledge from these qualifications to establish the "I am A DJ" incubation program. Which aims to create a safe way for females trying to enter male dominated field of DJ'ing. With the inaugural program taking place in 2020, the program has given opportunity for mentorship and training to over 20 aspiring female DJ's.
