JOSE SAAVEDRA

Based in Liverpool but originally from Hertfordshire, Jose's passion for House music started in 1987 at the age of 11 when he bought his first 12-inch record (Krush - House Arrest). In the '90s Jose immersed himself in the rave scene going to iconic events such as United Dance, Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Labyrinth and many London club nights. He also started mixing and performed at events around the South East, London and overseas, he is also a Radio Presenter and has played on a number of stations including Centreforce, Pressure Radio, Raiders Radio, 4Beat Radio and Eruption.

In April 2020, Jose joined MYDJHUB (a group created by DJ Slipmatt, Atomic Hooligan and Mark XTC). Involvement with the group gave Jose the inspiration to follow a long-held ambition to produce music. Through the remainder of 2020 and 2021, Jose created a number of unofficial remixes while honing his production skills. His style focuses on House and Tech House blended with Old Skool inspired sounds, but his appreciation for a wider range of genres influences his production.

In Jan 2022, Jose's first track 'Tides' was released on Whore House Records and this was quickly followed by further releases on Toolbox House, World Sound Records, Onto the Groove records, Underground Hype, House Me Up Records and Chelsea Singh's label MixSingh Records. His tracks have been featured on a number of albums and have entered the Traxsource charts.

Jose's tracks have been supported by DJs such as Slipmatt, Chelsea Singh, Tony Roberts, Roger Da' Silva, SAYA, Secret Agenda, Jon Fleet and DJ Bubbler and they have been played on a number of radio stations including Centreforce, Eruption, Indemand Radio, FunkySX, Select Radio, Unity, Rise Radio and BBC Introducing.
