reFelts primary school teacher could not have been further from the truth when she forecasted his slowness might still be of disadvantage in his future life. It seems like patiently giving his musical journey (so far) the time it needed was a good investment that lead into finding his own style without actually chasing it, showing up naturally in the process of constant creation.

Starting from learning keys and jazz trumpet as a kid, playing in smaller formations but also orchestras, to working on electronic music from the age of fifteen and having his first club gigs at that same time, later on gaining his spurs in the local drum & bass & 4-to-the-floor DJ-scene, it makes perfect sense that his music sounds the way it does.

Four of reFelts style-defining (for now) tracks can be found on his first release, the mysterious “Leisure Suite EP”. Combining a range of influences such as jazz, techno, house, breaks, dub, trance, ambient, or even boom bap, reflecting his past and present, it all naturally flows into four pieces of captured emotions, that, although diverse in tempo, always have reFelts special touch which stylistically entangles and connects the tracks, beaming them into your future.
