RACKET CLUB

Jon Gilman, aka Racket Club, is an American DJ and producer based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Boston he grew up playing drums and percussion in rock bands, symphonic bands, and jazz bands. While his early days were spent listening to Rage Against the Machine and Dave Matthews Band, the last decade of his life has been focused on groovy, soulful, and upfront House music. Racket Club is a co-founder of the blog My Music Is Better Than Yours, runs the Pizza & Techno event series in San Francisco and Los Angeles, has worked as A&R for Build It Records, and is now building the label Top Shelf Disco. Racket Club's brand can best be described as Disco-Tech, with a bias toward rolling bass lines, infectious vocals, and 90s hip-hop hooks. Whether he's spinning at the beach, out the trunk of his car, or in some of the world's most prominent nightclubs, Racket Club's sole purpose is to make you dance.
