MARCO MOREGGIA

MARCO MOREGGIA, usually resides in Rome and is a constant point of reference for Italian nightlife. Since the mid-80s, with his group "I RAGAZZI TERRIBILIi", he has created a bridge between New York and Rome, marking a decade of House music events, involving artists who were performing for the first time in ITALY and exclusively for their evenings (ADEVA, TEN CITY, CE CE ROGERS just to name a few). I Ragazzi Terribili mark a radical change in the way of experiencing the night until then linked to discos, pushing in other directions, in search of alternative spaces, garages, disused factories, far from the classic clichés, the spaces become containers, which place sound comes first, where people feel free to express themselves. Also in those years he was the DJ. of the KEITH HARING event in Rome, in collaboration with the POP SHOP of New York, in the former Miralanza factory. Soon after he is the organizer of the party that kicks off LINDSAY KEMP's world tour. With the I RAGAZZI TERRIBILI, his evenings make some of the spaces they manage memorable, such as the SALA PICHETTI, THE CAFFE' MAGNANI, THE ACID OPERA, the DREAM (the first venue entirely designed by them and the first venue to close after 10 in the morning in 1988 ), the PROMETEO and the COLISEUM. In those years, he began his career at a very young age producer activity and forms the THREE-BÙ group and the MYSTIC REC label. his first releases received excellent criticism and recognition and he was later awarded at the Pacha in Riccione by Luca de Gennaro as best group of Italian electronic music. In 1991 he was a resident DJ of MUCCASSASSINA completely free of charge as a volunteer to provide support to AIDS sufferers, he was a guest in the MALE PRODUCTION evenings, he took part in numerous dance gatherings in ITALY, at the HIPE in Caserta, at METROPOLIS and KGB of Naples, makes a tour in various social centers and is the first DJ to play electronic music until then (FORTE PRENESINO, VILLAGGIO GLOBALE, LIVELLO 57, etc.) is the DJ (volunteer) with the cultural association ART FOR AIDS He is a resident DJ on CLUB 69 evenings.

He flies to New York to record his second vinyl with the BASSLINE invited by VICTOR SIMONELLI. Since the mid-nineties, in addition to his role as DJ, he has organized the RADIO PARADISE GARAGE events together with ROMINA ROMANO, the art curator FRANCESCA PIETRACCI and the director Carola SPADONI, events which take place on Sundays from 6pm until 2am :00, first at BAR DEL FICO and then at CAFFE' DELL'ANGELO (ROME), kicking off the first after tea, visual art, cinema and music, numerous artists are taking part, the video intervention by RADIO B92 (from Belgrade) and the performance of the WOMEN IN BLACK (during the war in Kosovo). In '99 he was invited by the artists ANDREA NURCIS and ENRICO CORTE to the VENICE BIENNIALE to present his first and only work as an artist: the video "TRASFORMAZIONIi", with which he was subsequently present in BERLIN. He later starred in the FRANCO SILVESTRO video: "DANCE". MARCO creates the HEART ATTAK evening together with the 2RC and IL PONTE CONTEMPORANEA galleries. He is the DJ in the RIPARTE events. From 2001 to 2006 he was a DJ. resident of the SUPPERCLUB ITALIA-AMSTERDAM and is a guest in various clubs; including the MAVU' of Locorotondo, he holds evenings in ENGLAND and GREECE, he inaugurates the ES HOTEL in Rome. He plays in the events organized by WHERE2GO PRODUCTION, he is the DJ of the events organized by BARTOLO CUOMO at the SANTA LUCIA café in Rome events featuring, among others, FRANCA VALERI, PIERA DEGLI ESPOSTI, ACHILLE BONITO OLIVA.

MARCO MOREGGIA has been curating the music for fashion events for years together with SERGIO COLANTUONI in Milan, Rome and Florence. (TER ET BANTINE, MILA SCHON, BRACCIALINI, BRIONI, BRUNO MAGLI, STEFANEL, BORSALINO).
