KATORZI

Guille Katorzi is a Brazilian musician, DJ, and producer based in Bogotá, Colombia. In late 2020, Katorzi signed a long-term record deal with the renowned record label; PuzzleProjectsMusic.

An avid vinyl digger, Katorzi started his career in music playing bass in an MTV award-winning indie rock band in São Paulo in the early 2000s which then led to over a decade of rich & varied music-based projects and intense music production learning.

2015 saw Katorzi move to the Philippines for three years, playing the guitar in a local hip-hop group and also DJing Funk, Disco, and House-tinged sets at parties under the moniker 'Funky Jesus'.

In 2018, Katorzi began establishing himself in Colombia, feeding a desire to connect deeper with Latin music and absorb the thriving electronic scene of Bogotá, which has seen him perform at many parties across the city playing classic 70s funk and dancefloor-driven Brazilian and Afro disco injected with his trademark groovy swagger.

Fast forward to 2021 and Katorzi's first releases - the EP 'Skidum' & single 'Take The Heat' coming out to huge support worldwide in April & May 2021.

The releases have showcased his passion for drawing from lesser-known Brazilian music, turning them into modern, DJ-friendly disco cuts infused with African and Latin percussion and often subtle elements of bass and electro.

With upcoming releases on vinyl & digital on PuzzleProjectsMusic - expect to be hearing a lot more about this man.
