SecVee is a South African DJ/Producer, whose real name is “Mathabatha Nkoana” (born 22 June 1993). His love for deep house music was mostly influenced or inspired by the sounds of Soul Khula, Jimpster, Culoe de Song, Terry Hunter,
The G-family, and Kerri chandler just to name a few.
Fast forward 2009, He decided to advance his musical talent and learnt how to deejay at the tender age of sixteen. In 2011, After enrolling at the University of Limpopo, His love for music continued to grow more and more to a point where he decided to teach himself how to produce music from his university dorm.
In 2012, He met Karabo ”KCee-D” Dipela and Malesela “Dj Mkg” Makgoba, then decided to form a house music trio called “SoulCatchers_SA”. Therefore, the group was later joined by other two members, Lethabo “Mr Bash” Matjebe and Jacob “Jay-D” Peta.
