Founded by Gosiame "BlackJean" Maodi and Co-Founded by Siphiwe "SDK SA" Daniel Kumalo in June 2009 in Ga-Rankuwa, Pretoria, South Africa, 60 Hertz Project is a live band and production collective known for its rich fusion of Jazz House, Lounge, Broken Beats, Afro, Deep, and Soulful House. The group blends musicianship, creativity, and tradition to deliver captivating, high-energy performances that transport audiences through time and sound.
Driven by the slogan "The Deep Level of Musical Signature!", the project was born from a shared passion to introduce fresh, emotionally resonant sounds to the world. With a lineup that fuses producers and instrumentalists, 60 Hertz Project continues to push boundaries while honoring the roots of house music.
The group gained international acclaim when GOGO Music Label(Germany) licensed their club anthem "Capricorn", which climbed global download charts and received powerful remixes from Ralf GUM, QB Smith, and Deeptone's Essential-I.
